Welcome Shelby Marie! 6 Weeks Old

Yeah, so somebody doesn't have a computer at home and did not post about our new little arrival! Yeah, that was me, ;)

So here she be!!

Shelby Marie
7lbs 9 oz 21 inches

Yes, she is in a special care bed, I'll get to that later!

After being pregnant for what felt like all of 2013 (and really almost was) she finally made her appearance on December 4th, just a day after her due date! Good girl, hehe. I actually went into labor on the 3rd but she wasn't born until that next afternoon.

So I had been contracting a few days before this off and on with nothing progressing. Then that day at work I was having some more and also happened to think, hey, I haven't felt her move much the day or so. Which they always say is a big red flag. So I thought, well I'll call my dr and see if they can get me in just to make sure she is okay. So turns out my doctor was about to leave to Birmingham for a meeting he could not postpone. Boo. Then they were like well we want you to come into labor and delivery so they can monitor you. WHAT!? I just wanted to see my dr and be done with it! But they insisted and said they were going to call down there and tell them I was on my way. Sigh. I felt like such a dodo head, like one of those first time moms freaking out about nothing.

So I left work kind of wigging out, on the verge of tears. What if there WAS something wrong with her?? I call Lee (who is working an HOUR away of course) and then head to the hospital. I'm sure I'm going to get there and they are going to say your not really having contractions, or, worst of all something is wrong. Well they put me in a room and I have to get all my clothes off yeah, and put that gown on. They hooked me up to the machines and little girl is perfectly fine. She THEN proceeds to start being a wild child in there of course, lol.

The cool thing was the nurse taking care of me was BECKY!! My nurse with Chloe that I was praying I would get again. Thank the Lord! So she went out at one point and came back in with guess who?? My wonderful awesome doctor!! He said he came by to check on me before he left for Birmingham, I thought he was long gone! I love that man! So he looked at my stats and such and started talking about how long they would keep me and observe, etc, then he goes, "well, heck, you aren't leaving here without a baby". Hallelujah! So they then took me and put me in a BRAND new delivery room! I thought I was stuck in the one I was being observed in, it was smaller and had an awful tv in it, lol.

I settled in and made all my calls and here we go! I started having more contractions throughout the night but they would never get real consistent. I wanted to walk but with baby still breech they said I probably shouldn't until the doctor got back from Birmingham, since he is the only one that will deliver me breech.

IV still sucked, but not as bad as last time. That morning early Lee and I started making rounds of labor and delivery. The contractions had pretty much petered to nothing during the night, boo. So walking started them up again but I decided to go ahead with a little bit of pitocin as suggested by my doctor to get things going. That did it! I started getting pretty uncomfy so since I came IN 4 cen I could have my epidural whenever I wanted. I don't remember what I was dilated at that point but I went ahead and got it. I felt it this time! But it really did just feel like a bee sting, which is how she described it. But my contractions never did really 'hurt' they were definitely not fun and uncomfy but nothing awful. After my epidural I felt real itchy and warm, kind of sleepy.

So after that we really were waiting on my water to break. It finally started leaking, but that was it. Doctor didn't want to break it because of her being breech. So they had me sitting on my bottom as far as I could in the bed, that didn't work, then the nurse asked me if I wanted to try turning on my side. Well not long after she left the room Lee's brothers had arrived. They came in to see me and all of a sudden I felt SOMETHING come OUT. I knew it couldn't be her head but I really didn't know what it was!! Mom said she will never forget the look on my face, lol! So I said real fast "something just came out and yall need to leave!!" to his brothers, haha, poor guys.

I frantically pushed the nurse button and here she came running, she checked me and said it was my WATER BAG. What?? Then all of a sudden I had four nurses in there staring at my water bag lying on the bed, lol, so funny. They were all like wow, we've never seen that! Haha. Glad to be your entertainment, ladies! So everything got kind of fast and blurry at this point. The doctor was called (he was in the other building doing his patient appointments) and then all of a sudden her heart rate DROPPED big time and everyone started getting pretty busy. They put a oxygen mask on me and told me to breathe real deep in and out and Becky got on the phone again with the doctor telling him very calmly, for my sake I'm sure, that he really needed to HURRY, lol. As for me I was lying there silently FREAKING OUT and praying. I was so scared she would stop breathing or something and get stuck in there and die, ugh. But her heart rate jumped back up to normal and was fine from then on, thank GOD!

So doctor gets there and here we go. Lee said he finally broke my water, though I don't remember this and I started pushing. And I gave it all I had! I really only pushed like twice and she was out to her head but then I hear people saying she has her arm up in her face, and I can feel him pulling and dong all sorts of stuff down there. Gahhh kid!!! So the doctor had a HECK of a time getting her to move her arm so I could get her out and I was so worried all I knew was I needed to push her out and FAST. At one point the nurse even jumped up on me and was pushing on me to pop her out. I was just about done for when they finally got her out! They laid her on my chest and she is not moving, shes white, all sprawled out and lifeless! But I wasn't worried, I knew they can be stunned sometimes when they come out backwards, I was just so relieved she was out.

So they took her over pretty quickly to the warming place and worked on her there getting her to breathe and cleaning her up, checking her out. And as they are doing that the doctor is delivering the placenta and checking me out and he says, "now I heard her arm pop when she came out, she might have a broken arm or shoulder." WHA....WAIT WHAT?! Then he starts saying but that will heal, its no big deal, yada yada. And I'm laying there thinking, I should have just gotten a c-section!! Then my baby wouldn't have a broken arm!

They brought her over to me so I could see her, but I really just wanted them to go ahead and take her for xrays! They thought she was probably okay because she had started moving it and wasn't crying when they messed with it. But I was so afraid to touch her if it was broken! They took her pretty quick after that and I rested and ate some food. I was starving! Hadn't ate since lunch the day before and it was late afternoon the next day.

Everything turned out great, God is so good. She was completely healthy and the xrays came out normal. So thankful! The family got to see her through the nursery window while Lee was back there with her, and then they came in after I had nursed her the first time. We had Chloe came in first and it was so sweet. She kept saying, shes so beautiful! :) Love that girl.

So! We are nearly 2 months old now! 7 weeks. Overall impression is she likes to eat A LOT, not a calm baby unfortunately. She likes her schedule, 9:00 is bed time and she will not sway from it! (found that out a few times the hard way!) She was nursing nearly every hour the first two weeks, lol, still every 2 hours now unless she is sleeping. She started smiling about 3 weeks, so sweet! And a bit after that with coos and such. If you get her in just the right spot in front of you she will smile and talk at you for the longest time. She really loves talking to her daddy and papa Mickle. The best thing ever is she SLEEPS ALL NIGHT! She will sleep from 10 or so all the way to 6 or 7 in the morning. No joke. THANK GOD! I love it! She is in a co sleeper next to my bed, the one my sister in law used which is my other sister in laws, lol. We swaddled her for about a month or so and then she started busting her arms out of it so now she is swaddled in it below her arms to keep her warm. But this week she has started busting out of it too! So I may have to do a blanket soon, boo.

She sleeps a lot still. I started back to work this past week and she usually eats before work, sleeps a bit after we get  here, eats around lunch time again, and then sleeps nearly until time to go home at four. Pretty easy! Sometimes she is awake when we get here and fusses until I feed her around 11:30. Then sleeps the afternoon away.

OH! I forgot another awesome thing, she drinks a bottle! Hallelujah! We have her on a Avent natural and she does great with it. I am able to pump about 5 or 6 ounces every other day or two or so and have been freezing it. I don't have enough to leave her all day but plenty for an occasional bottle while we are out, or for date nights. She also takes a paci at times, but not easily.

So Chloe is a GREAT big sister! She is so helpful fetching things for me or the baby, gives her kisses all the time, etc. She loves her. She isn't really jealous too much, but sometimes she wants us to hold her TOO. Or she wants a blanket too, etc. Its been a bit hard at bed times sometimes, when Shelby wants to eat NOW and Chloe wants me to put her to bed, etc. Like last night she was screaming wanting to eat and Chloe wanted me, and I hadn't been able to put her to bed for quite a few days so I went ahead and put her to bed. When I walked into the bedroom this is what I saw, lol:

Such a good daddy! He has been great helping with Chloe and the new baby. She can get pretty fussy at times so its nice to have someone to hand her off to. She likes the big swing Chloe loved too thank goodness so she sleeps in it a lot at home. I also have a rock n play she likes pretty good. And a bouncer, she likes movement!

Here are a few pics of sweet Shelby:

Sweet babies!

First day back to work!
2 Weeks old! Just before Christmas

One month old!

Well in other news my husbands childhood home burnt the ground two weeks ago. It was awful. Thankfully they were all gone on vacation. I still feel awful I didn't see it. I was home the whole time and never even knew until I saw a car go by the road really fast and I jumped up to see where it went and saw flames coming out of every window. The really bad thing is they only have insurance enough to cover paying off the loan on the property. But not to build again. So they still really don't know what they are going to do.

So right now they are living with us, yeah, 5 extra people in our 1300 sqft house, heh. His mom and dad are sleeping in the fifth wheel and his two brothers are in our workout room and his sister in Chloes room. We moved her back into the nursery, took the front off the crib to make it a big girl bed. She is cool with it! So we are just in a holding pattern right now! It was a bit rough to begin with but I'm okay with it right now. Hopefully I will stay that way!

Bout all right now, till later, tata!

T-Minus 8 Days!

Come on already baby!! I was pretty sure I would go into labor this weekend, but, alas, was not to be.

So let me tell you why I was thinking this. Wednesday I went in for my appointment and left shortly after. She said he was still at the hospital delivering babies and all the exam rooms were full PLUS there were like 4-5 people in front of me waiting. EHHH, no. So she got me in Thursday morning at 9 thankfully. Fast forward to then! We got in there and less then five minutes later they call me back, woah, that was fast! So I figured I would be waiting in the room for him forever, he came in pretty quick too. I was a little worried about Chloe being with me (she is with the sister in law Mon and the mother in law Tues and Wed, at work with me Thurs) mostly because of the cervix exam, lol. Nobody wants to see that! I tried to explain to her a bit before hand what would go on and she seemed a little confused but ok with it. So when he came in I just had her watch lalaloopsy on my phone over in the chair and she was fine!

So he measured me, said I was measuring a bit small but that I wasn't big anyway. (Oh by the way I rolled over 150, boo, 151 as of Thursday) And heartbeat was good. He asked me if I thought she had flipped yet and I said I wasn't sure but she did feel like she was in a bit of a different position. So he checks my cervix, says that feels pretty hard, I think thats a head! I was like REALLY?! Lol, so then he tells me I'm a good 3 cen dilated and he could stretch me to 4. Heck yeah! I was shocked, being only 1 a week before. So then he goes well just to be sure, lets go check the ultrasound and see if she really is head down. I was all for that! Got my clothes back on and we headed across the hall. I get Chloe settled in another chair and lay back on the table. He starts looking around....and BAM, nope, she is still head up. GAHH!! Earlier in the room while he was washing his hands after examining me he said and I was kind of looking forward to delivering a breech baby. Well looks like he is getting his wish!! -_- Dadgum stubborn baby!

SO! When we first walked into the ultrasound room he was looking at the calendar and saying I could be induced this Tuesday if I wanted, since I would be 39 weeks. But then I would be getting out of the hospital on Thanksgiving, ick. It was tempting! But I said no, I'd rather wait. And after we found out she was breech still he said its better for breech babies to go on their own without help anyway.

Well that was that! I go back again Wednesday unless she decides to make her appearance before hand. As for why I thought she was coming this weekend. Ever since my appointment I started having HUGE gobs of mucousy discharge every single time I went to the bathroom almost. And that is a lot, lol. And I mean a ridiculous amount. Also I had some pains on Saturday that I haven't had before. Apparently we are getting close yes, just not that close. So I'm walking around 4 cen dilated. Fun, lol. She is still pretty high though, I wish she would get out of my ribs!! She will just make them acheeee. No 39 week pic yet, but will try to add one.

In other news! Lee got his shop started! I forgot to take a picture of it this morning, boo, but he has all the posts set and concreted, gravel spread out. Here is a pic of them Sat night before getting the poles set:

Had fun last night with a few friends, which was funny because we were all pregnant, lol, 12 weeks 33 and 38! Which meant a lot of bathroom breaks lol. We went and watched the second hunger games movie, which was AWESOME!! Way, way better then the first.

Thats about all thats going on, until further news, adios!

Hello Week 38!

Here we are in the homestretch! Two more weeks baby!! Officially 15 more days. WOW. I'm so ready, this belly is beyond annoying. Plus I'm getting really low on energy. I spent most of it the last few weeks I think cleaning house and clothes and packing bags! We still haven't painted the nursery, too much other going on, but I'm okay with that. She isn't going to be in there for a while anyway.

I have her bag packed with my nursing pillow and a blanket sitting by the door. And my bag is packed with all that I can do now in our bedroom. I went to walmart and got a ton of little travel size things to put in a toiletry bag so I don't have to drag all our regular stuff there. Plus I can use it again camping, etc. We bought Lee a duffle bag which is also sitting there, with nothing in it, lol, that will have to be a last minute thing, he wears all his clothes all week!

So the baby shower went well, got my stroller! Its so perty! I installed Shelby's car seat so that is all ready to go. Chloe loves riding in the stroller :). I did still have to buy quite a few things myself, no one really seemed to look at my registries, o well. This saturday we went to babies r us, which is conveniently also the same store as toys r us (they split it down the middle). So I got the baby stuff I couldn't find anywhere else and also knocked out all the kids I have to buy for Christmas! Preston, Dawson, Olivia, and Luke. Yay! I also got Chloe some things as well, I had her walk around with me first and tell me all the stuff she liked and then sent her out with her daddy, lol. She is so easy anyway, she loves all kinds of stuff!

I'm so excited for Christmas this year! Having a newborn and then Chloe being 3 and really into it, is going to be so fun. We will get to pick out our tree all together and everything, its going to be so fun! Family of four! Wow. Doesn't seem real yet, I have a feeling it will take a while even after she is here, lol.

Halloween went good! Here is my little 'puppy':

The tutu came out so good! I never did find the shirt and leggings I wanted, so I used some EIGHTEEN month leggings we had already, lol, and found a shirt that worked okay at walmart. She had so much fun!

And I don't think I ever posted a picture of Shelby's bedding, here it is! Super cute right? And check out my cute diaper bag over there on the door, its a kalencom I got for like 10 bucks. Used of course, but in very good condition.

So the refinance went through! We got our 9k check in the mail last week. Already spent some of it, lol. $400 of it went in a big pile of rocks Friday:

Yeah, I know, freakin-a! Four hundred dollars for ROCKS! -_- O well, it is what it is! Poor Lee was wanting to start on his shop this weekend but it rained all weekend. Boo. This Saturday he and a buddy of his are going deer hunting (opening weekend for rifle) so not sure if he will start then or not. I'm excited to see it done!

So I keep skipping around but back to baby stuff! 38 weeks tomorrow. I am 149lbs as of last Wednesday, would not doubt if I have rolled over 150 by today, lol. I know I will have by my next appointment Wednesday! I went in and did my ultrasound last week first and of course she said baby is still breech, but all looks good and she is measuring 6lbs 12oz. But I don't hold a whole lot of stock in ultrasound weights, they can be a whole pound off either way! Doctor said I am the perfect patient, never have any isses with blood pressure, protein in urine, didn't gain but 22lbs, never swollen, etc. I was like, well thank you! Haha. I said too bad my baby isn't perfect! ;) He then said I was also the perfect candidate for a breech birth if we have to do one. I've already had a baby vaginally, she wasn't large, and baby is in the 'frank' breech position which is the best one to be in for a breech birth. SO, he said if you are okay with it, I am. I said yeah, lets do it, I would like to avoid a c-section if at all possible! I wonder if I go into labor and still haven't broke my water, if they will try to turn her again. I hope so! I'd much rather have her come out head first!!

So I've been at 1cm both appointments he has checked my cervix, which is really not bad at all, I remember it being worse with Chloe! (which of course its all a bit more stretched out now, lol) I was having braxton hicks contractions a bit two weeks before last, but this last week I haven't, thank goodness. Those were freakin annoying!! She has been changing position a lot in there lately (especially through the movie we watched Saturday night! lol Lee and I went and ate dinner and watched Thor, probably last date night for awhile! Chloe's uncle was so sweet to watch her for us) and I'm hoping she is thinking about getting into birth position soon. Although the best time for her to come really is her due date week, as much as I'd like to see her now! If she comes this week or next it will be thanksgiving week the rest of her life on her birthday off and on since it usually comes the 3rd week of the month, but sometimes, like this year, its the 4th week. But I hate all this waiting!!

No signs of imminent labor though! Next appointment is Wednesday so we will see if I've dilated some more or not, he said I was thick and high last week.

Here is my fat self at 38 weeks!

38 weeks - Shelby

38 weeks - Chloe
So not too far off, lol, although its hard to tell when I'm not holding my hands the same. Well thats about all right now! Just hanging in there! Can't wait to post a picture of my sweet newborn baby!

5 Weeks To Go!

Officially we have 35 more days. ACK! That sounds so soon! And I haven't gotten her room painted, bag packed, OR had my baby shower! Lol.

BUT! The baby shower is happening this weekend finally! I'm pretty excited, should be fun! I hope most of the people I invited get to come! I need DIAPERS PEOPLE! Haha, really that is about all I need, diapers and wipes. I'm pretty set on clothes thanks to the fb online yard sale and Chloe, and I have all my baby 'gear'. I think mom and dad are buying me a stroller/car seat jogger. Its purple!! Check it out!

I LURVEEE IT!! This will be a total of 4 carseats that I have though, haha. I did give one to the mother in law, and I need one extra for Lee's truck. But not sure what I will do with the other, one of the extras I have is the same exact seat as the purple but in grey and green. I don't know if I'll keep it or the other flowery one. Probably keep the green though since it will go on the jogger and same base.

Jamie and my mom are doing the party. It's going to be all fall stuff, pumpkins, leaves, apple cider, pumpkin pie, etc. YEAH, I love fall! Its actually been kind of a neat time to have a baby. Christmas is magical anyway and adding a baby just makes it even more so. I'm glad she is due at the BEGINNING of December though!

Thursday is Halloween! Stinks though cause its supposed to be stormy/rainy. :( Chloe is so excited too. I hope it holds off or we do it inside or something. We are going to our church's trunk n treat. Chloe is going to be a 'ballerina' puppy, lol! I made her the cutest fall colored tutu and bought her some floppy puppy ears. Then she is going to wear a brown shirt/leggings and I'm going to paint her nose black, haha. She is going to be stinking adorable!! Here is what it looks like sort of:

So! I am at 35 weeks today! Feeling pretty good really. Probably the best I have my whole pregnancy here in the last month or so, weird right?? I'm not as tired, my reflux is under control now thanks to prescription meds, and I am not out of breath every time I try to move around. I do still think this kid is head up tho, but I'm trying not to worry about it until my next ultrasound at 36 weeks. Which I'm getting a 'freebie' this Friday too from my sister in law, hehe. She is head director at a womens center like I said in my previous post, and scheduled me to do a ultrasound with their tech Friday for the fun of it. Hopefully she will have that hiney up by then!! She must know I'm talking about her, she is pushing out and around in there, lol. She sits on the sides a lot more then Chloe. At night when I lay on my side I have to be careful how I lay or she lets me know I'm squishing her, lol.

I'm excited about meeting Shelby soon, but also nervous. I know everyone says you will love your second just as much, your heart expands, etc. But its hard to imagine. I hope I don't have trouble bonding with her. I had a bit of a problem connecting with Chloe for a while. I loved her of course, but didn't feel that specialness I wanted for quite some time after. I think it will be a bit easier this time though, having already done the mommy thing, and being able to share it all with my sweet girl. She is going to be such a help too! And this time I will have the mother in law there close to help, feed us, watch Chloe, etc. Last time she was in the hospital taking care of her baby.

Baby appointment tomorrow! I also start going every week now, ah! I have my fun strep B test tomorrow too, ughhh. Maybe the nurse will do it, haha. I'm also kind of nervous about having my weekly 'checks' by this new doctor too. One, he is a man, and two, with him being a man, men have bigger hands! LOL. I'll survive though!

Here is the week 35 belly!

35 weeks - Baby Shelby

Wide load!! Lets compare with Chloe's pregnancy...

35 weeks - Baby Chloe

LOTS bigger, ugh! O well, I've pretty much embraced it now, yeah, I'm eight months pregnant, I'm big. Here we go. Lol.

So lets get on with this weekend! We had lots of fun! First on Saturday we visited 4D Farms to get our pumpkin and have lots of other fun. Chloe didn't want to leave. Next year will be even more fun with a nearly one year old Shelby along!

Pic overload!

Jumpy jumpin! Check out my cute boots socks, lol

She saw this one and was like GOT IT!

Love that sweet face!
I'm the biggest pumpkin out there by far, haha

Duck races!

So as you can tell we all had a blast. It might be $10 a head to get in there but its worth it! They have so much to do and Chloe has a blast. If you zoom in on the pumpkin picture you can see Chloe's little bitty green pumpkin she found, she had to have the tiniest one! Thankfully they didnt charge us for it, lol. So after that we headed to the grocery store and then home to put a wore out Chlo Chlo down for a nap! (and me too, haha) Lee went out and shot guns a bit with his brothers. That night was the Auburn game but we didn't watch it, it was Lee's youngest bros birthday weekend so we went over there after Chloe's nap and ate dinner with them. The game was against a very easy opponent anyway and we smeared them. We are doing so good this year!!

Sunday! Woke up SO SLEEPY and tired so decided to play hooky and stay home from church. Then I got Chloe and we played in bed with daddy for a bit before we got up and she helped me make french toast. It was SO good. While we were eating we did a few devotionals from our church then got ready for the first event of the day, pictures!! I've been wanting to take pregnancy pictures for a while now and finally had a good day for it!

Some of my favs:

Love them!! They came out so good, especially for being taken on a tripod with a remote shutter, lol. I was kind of dissapointed in the lack of color in the trees, but it still looks fallish, I think. And Chloe did so well, she is so photogenic anyway! Lee on the other hand I had to prod a bit, lol.

After that we headed to Decatur to find a present for Lee's bro, then back home before we left out again to Birmingham to eat at a restaurant he picked. On the way home we were listening to a old country station and Chloe was so funny, she kept telling me and Lee to sing (since we were most of the time anyway, we love the old 90's and older country!) and clapping, etc. It was too cute. Ate some cheesecake at the in laws then to bed!!

So all in all, fun fun weekend. Also! Forgot to say our appraisal came in GREAT! 4k above what we needed! So we are just waiting for the last few things to get tied up and hear when our closing date will be. Our loan lady thinks it should be next week. Yeah! Can't wait to get the shop started. I wish we could have gotten it done before the baby gets here, but don't see that happening! I'm still so thankful my insurance is covering my pregnancy. We should just owe about $200 more on the dr and then the $500 to the hospital.

Well I think I have about 20 pages here, so better shut up! Until next time!

33 Weeks! (Plus Exciting News!)

So the 4D went really well! We got some great pictures! I was starting to get worried for a little bit there though, she had her hand and forearm up in her face for the longest time! I think she was napping, lol.

Here is a picture of how she looked at that time, she's grabbing the back of her neck, lol:

Anyway, I asked her at one point to just for me make sure she IS a girl, lol, and of course she wouldn't cooperate in there, but she said she didn't see any boy parts ;). So we have a Shelby officially! (Well as official as you can get without her actually being here, lol) As for middle names we are probably going to do Shelby Marie Mickle if she is born in November, if she comes in December (which I'm hoping it is EARLY December if so!) we are going to go with Shelby Noelle Mickle.

Some more shots!

So the general consensus is she looks like Chloe! Which means a MICKLE. I knew it! LOL, but I'm fine with that. I love seeing Lee in Chloe. I would love for a dark headed Lee look-a-like though! We shall see! The ultrasound tech said she saw some hair floating around, so she isn't bald headed, but how long it is or what color it is, nobody knows! Lol. I keep telling Lee as soon as she crowns I'm going to be like WHAT COLOR IS HER HAIR, GO FIND OUT! ;) No seriously, I wouldn't mind two blondies, they would be adorable.

Chloe is going to be such a good big sister, I know it. She talks about her all the time. I can't wait till she has her own little playmate to have fun with! She kisses my belly a lot too, which is too cute.

So about the exciting news! I went for my 33 week appointment yesterday morning. All is good, I think I am 145 now? He said I've gained 18lbs, which he allows 25 at this point so I'm good! Blood pressure, urine, belly measurement, heartbeat, all good. I asked him if he could feel of her and see if she is breech still, and he was pretty sure she is. GRR! I wish she would turn around so I don't have to worry about it! There are a few exercises and such you can do that encourage them to turn, I've done a few but no luck. I haven't been consistent with them though either, your supposed to do them for 3 or 4 days a couple times a day. She has moved from right under my right ribs, so maybe that is progress??

Oh, my news! Anyway I got done and came out to make a payment, which is still 2k something. I had given them my new insurance card when I came in and didn't think much more about it. (Dad started offering insurance for the shop, paying half, which is great! I have dental and medical, yay! Just comes out of my paycheck) So I tell her I'm going to pay and she goes um, wait a second. And I thought I was going to be in trouble for not making a payment last month so I kind of cringed waiting on her to finish. But then she says don't worry about making a payment this time. "Vicky looked up your insurance and it's not showing your pregnancy as pre-exising." WHAT?! She continued on saying that they would look at my account and take of the self pay fees etc and see if I owed them anything more, or I would be getting a credit back. I was so shocked and excited! I was so sure pregnancy was one of those things you had to wait a year for on insurance.

So I had planned on going to the hospital part anyway to give them my card, in case something came up they actually might pay for, and I now was definitely wanting to know what they would say about it. So I waddled my little self out of there and send Lee a text on the way (its a walk through like 2 buildings to get there) and told him all that went on. He was pretty excited too! But we were both like, this might be too good to be true, lol. I finally huff myself up the stairs to the maternity ward and give the lady there my card. She looks it up on her computer and says, yeah, its not pre-existing and you should be covered. THANK YOU JESUS! So that was another hurdle down. She told me to defenitely call my insurance though and find out for sure. After I got back to work I did just that and the rep told me that they don't cover pre-existing conditions until after a year of coverage, yes, but they don't consider pregnancy as pre-existing. ??? I wasn't going to question that!

We are SO thankful, God is so good, what a blessing! So we still have some co-pays ect but nothing like what it was going to be. Instead of 5k for the hospital and doctor together it will be just $500 for the doctor and $750 for the hospital. So around 1k. Hallelujah! I don't know for sure how much I owe the doctor still, since I have been paying on my bill already, but the hospital is $250 a day, and they figure on three days. I need to call my doctor and tell them I talked to my insurance and see if they have what I owe figured out yet.

Also in financial news, we were tossing about the idea of a shop etc like I said in my other post, since we had to have the $2500 up front for the hospital. But we had pretty much nixed the shop idea and were just going to get a small loan for the hospital. I felt like it was just going to be too much and not the right time. So anyway, we have been getting things in the mail about refinancing from our mortgage company for a few months now and Lee has been trying to get me to call, he figured a refinance with cash out would be our best bet all around. But I already tried that with two other mortgage companies and they all told me if you have had an over 30 days within a year they will not refinance you. But anyway as a last ditch effort to get Lee his shop I went a head and called them one day.

Lo and behold the man ran it through his computer and they did not immediately reject us! So, we are currently in the process of refinancing. We have everything going and are now waiting on our house appraisal which is happening Monday afternoon. If that goes well, we should be set! We are getting 10k out, lowering our payments, and lowering our interest rate. Cool, right?? So now that we learned we are paying only about a thousand for the doctor that will give us some extra money! Lee is figuring about 6-7k for the shop, maybe less. Then that will be 8k with the doctor. We have a mattress and dental bill I want paid off and then we are clear! So we may have around 2-3k to play with. Which I want to keep at least a thousand in the savings for an emergency fund. I would love to be able to get a four wheeler (or two) but we need to be smart. Will just have to wait and see.

Also may have another near 1k coming in from selling a motor Lee has had for a long time. We were going to put it in the Mustang eventually, but its gone now, so someone came in asking for one in the shop and dad told him about Lee's. He came out the same day and looked at it, likes it, but not sure if he wants to spend the money on it, so we shall see.

Anyway, we were going to camp in Tennessee this weekend with the fifth wheel. I reserved us a spot and everything at this gorgeous state park. I wanted to take my pregnancy pictures while I was there, the leaves are really pretty right now. It is by a river and has tons of waterfalls, etc. Perfect! But then we found out the appraiser is coming Monday and Lee has a lot of things he wants to do around the house to make sure we get the highest possible number. So I cancelled, maybe we can go next weekend. I'm not holding my breath though!

Tonight Lee and I are going to a banquet fundraiser for a womens shelter. They educate girls/women and try to keep them from having abortions, etc. My sister in law is over the one here in our town, so we are going to support her. It will be fun to dress up if nothing else, although my big belly is getting harder and harder to make cute, lol. Although it might be a fine line between dressy and too dressy, lol. And if I wear black, which I most likely will, I'll probably get a bunch of double takes, which is kind of annoying. Black is pretty good at camouflaging big bellys, but its hard to hide one this big and people will be like, is she pregnant?? Lol. I don't have a belly shot yet, but will try to add one later. Adios!

UPDATE: Here is a 34 week shot!
