5 Weeks To Go!

Officially we have 35 more days. ACK! That sounds so soon! And I haven't gotten her room painted, bag packed, OR had my baby shower! Lol.

BUT! The baby shower is happening this weekend finally! I'm pretty excited, should be fun! I hope most of the people I invited get to come! I need DIAPERS PEOPLE! Haha, really that is about all I need, diapers and wipes. I'm pretty set on clothes thanks to the fb online yard sale and Chloe, and I have all my baby 'gear'. I think mom and dad are buying me a stroller/car seat jogger. Its purple!! Check it out!

I LURVEEE IT!! This will be a total of 4 carseats that I have though, haha. I did give one to the mother in law, and I need one extra for Lee's truck. But not sure what I will do with the other, one of the extras I have is the same exact seat as the purple but in grey and green. I don't know if I'll keep it or the other flowery one. Probably keep the green though since it will go on the jogger and same base.

Jamie and my mom are doing the party. It's going to be all fall stuff, pumpkins, leaves, apple cider, pumpkin pie, etc. YEAH, I love fall! Its actually been kind of a neat time to have a baby. Christmas is magical anyway and adding a baby just makes it even more so. I'm glad she is due at the BEGINNING of December though!

Thursday is Halloween! Stinks though cause its supposed to be stormy/rainy. :( Chloe is so excited too. I hope it holds off or we do it inside or something. We are going to our church's trunk n treat. Chloe is going to be a 'ballerina' puppy, lol! I made her the cutest fall colored tutu and bought her some floppy puppy ears. Then she is going to wear a brown shirt/leggings and I'm going to paint her nose black, haha. She is going to be stinking adorable!! Here is what it looks like sort of:

So! I am at 35 weeks today! Feeling pretty good really. Probably the best I have my whole pregnancy here in the last month or so, weird right?? I'm not as tired, my reflux is under control now thanks to prescription meds, and I am not out of breath every time I try to move around. I do still think this kid is head up tho, but I'm trying not to worry about it until my next ultrasound at 36 weeks. Which I'm getting a 'freebie' this Friday too from my sister in law, hehe. She is head director at a womens center like I said in my previous post, and scheduled me to do a ultrasound with their tech Friday for the fun of it. Hopefully she will have that hiney up by then!! She must know I'm talking about her, she is pushing out and around in there, lol. She sits on the sides a lot more then Chloe. At night when I lay on my side I have to be careful how I lay or she lets me know I'm squishing her, lol.

I'm excited about meeting Shelby soon, but also nervous. I know everyone says you will love your second just as much, your heart expands, etc. But its hard to imagine. I hope I don't have trouble bonding with her. I had a bit of a problem connecting with Chloe for a while. I loved her of course, but didn't feel that specialness I wanted for quite some time after. I think it will be a bit easier this time though, having already done the mommy thing, and being able to share it all with my sweet girl. She is going to be such a help too! And this time I will have the mother in law there close to help, feed us, watch Chloe, etc. Last time she was in the hospital taking care of her baby.

Baby appointment tomorrow! I also start going every week now, ah! I have my fun strep B test tomorrow too, ughhh. Maybe the nurse will do it, haha. I'm also kind of nervous about having my weekly 'checks' by this new doctor too. One, he is a man, and two, with him being a man, men have bigger hands! LOL. I'll survive though!

Here is the week 35 belly!

35 weeks - Baby Shelby

Wide load!! Lets compare with Chloe's pregnancy...

35 weeks - Baby Chloe

LOTS bigger, ugh! O well, I've pretty much embraced it now, yeah, I'm eight months pregnant, I'm big. Here we go. Lol.

So lets get on with this weekend! We had lots of fun! First on Saturday we visited 4D Farms to get our pumpkin and have lots of other fun. Chloe didn't want to leave. Next year will be even more fun with a nearly one year old Shelby along!

Pic overload!

Jumpy jumpin! Check out my cute boots socks, lol

She saw this one and was like GOT IT!

Love that sweet face!
I'm the biggest pumpkin out there by far, haha

Duck races!

So as you can tell we all had a blast. It might be $10 a head to get in there but its worth it! They have so much to do and Chloe has a blast. If you zoom in on the pumpkin picture you can see Chloe's little bitty green pumpkin she found, she had to have the tiniest one! Thankfully they didnt charge us for it, lol. So after that we headed to the grocery store and then home to put a wore out Chlo Chlo down for a nap! (and me too, haha) Lee went out and shot guns a bit with his brothers. That night was the Auburn game but we didn't watch it, it was Lee's youngest bros birthday weekend so we went over there after Chloe's nap and ate dinner with them. The game was against a very easy opponent anyway and we smeared them. We are doing so good this year!!

Sunday! Woke up SO SLEEPY and tired so decided to play hooky and stay home from church. Then I got Chloe and we played in bed with daddy for a bit before we got up and she helped me make french toast. It was SO good. While we were eating we did a few devotionals from our church then got ready for the first event of the day, pictures!! I've been wanting to take pregnancy pictures for a while now and finally had a good day for it!

Some of my favs:

Love them!! They came out so good, especially for being taken on a tripod with a remote shutter, lol. I was kind of dissapointed in the lack of color in the trees, but it still looks fallish, I think. And Chloe did so well, she is so photogenic anyway! Lee on the other hand I had to prod a bit, lol.

After that we headed to Decatur to find a present for Lee's bro, then back home before we left out again to Birmingham to eat at a restaurant he picked. On the way home we were listening to a old country station and Chloe was so funny, she kept telling me and Lee to sing (since we were most of the time anyway, we love the old 90's and older country!) and clapping, etc. It was too cute. Ate some cheesecake at the in laws then to bed!!

So all in all, fun fun weekend. Also! Forgot to say our appraisal came in GREAT! 4k above what we needed! So we are just waiting for the last few things to get tied up and hear when our closing date will be. Our loan lady thinks it should be next week. Yeah! Can't wait to get the shop started. I wish we could have gotten it done before the baby gets here, but don't see that happening! I'm still so thankful my insurance is covering my pregnancy. We should just owe about $200 more on the dr and then the $500 to the hospital.

Well I think I have about 20 pages here, so better shut up! Until next time!

33 Weeks! (Plus Exciting News!)

So the 4D went really well! We got some great pictures! I was starting to get worried for a little bit there though, she had her hand and forearm up in her face for the longest time! I think she was napping, lol.

Here is a picture of how she looked at that time, she's grabbing the back of her neck, lol:

Anyway, I asked her at one point to just for me make sure she IS a girl, lol, and of course she wouldn't cooperate in there, but she said she didn't see any boy parts ;). So we have a Shelby officially! (Well as official as you can get without her actually being here, lol) As for middle names we are probably going to do Shelby Marie Mickle if she is born in November, if she comes in December (which I'm hoping it is EARLY December if so!) we are going to go with Shelby Noelle Mickle.

Some more shots!

So the general consensus is she looks like Chloe! Which means a MICKLE. I knew it! LOL, but I'm fine with that. I love seeing Lee in Chloe. I would love for a dark headed Lee look-a-like though! We shall see! The ultrasound tech said she saw some hair floating around, so she isn't bald headed, but how long it is or what color it is, nobody knows! Lol. I keep telling Lee as soon as she crowns I'm going to be like WHAT COLOR IS HER HAIR, GO FIND OUT! ;) No seriously, I wouldn't mind two blondies, they would be adorable.

Chloe is going to be such a good big sister, I know it. She talks about her all the time. I can't wait till she has her own little playmate to have fun with! She kisses my belly a lot too, which is too cute.

So about the exciting news! I went for my 33 week appointment yesterday morning. All is good, I think I am 145 now? He said I've gained 18lbs, which he allows 25 at this point so I'm good! Blood pressure, urine, belly measurement, heartbeat, all good. I asked him if he could feel of her and see if she is breech still, and he was pretty sure she is. GRR! I wish she would turn around so I don't have to worry about it! There are a few exercises and such you can do that encourage them to turn, I've done a few but no luck. I haven't been consistent with them though either, your supposed to do them for 3 or 4 days a couple times a day. She has moved from right under my right ribs, so maybe that is progress??

Oh, my news! Anyway I got done and came out to make a payment, which is still 2k something. I had given them my new insurance card when I came in and didn't think much more about it. (Dad started offering insurance for the shop, paying half, which is great! I have dental and medical, yay! Just comes out of my paycheck) So I tell her I'm going to pay and she goes um, wait a second. And I thought I was going to be in trouble for not making a payment last month so I kind of cringed waiting on her to finish. But then she says don't worry about making a payment this time. "Vicky looked up your insurance and it's not showing your pregnancy as pre-exising." WHAT?! She continued on saying that they would look at my account and take of the self pay fees etc and see if I owed them anything more, or I would be getting a credit back. I was so shocked and excited! I was so sure pregnancy was one of those things you had to wait a year for on insurance.

So I had planned on going to the hospital part anyway to give them my card, in case something came up they actually might pay for, and I now was definitely wanting to know what they would say about it. So I waddled my little self out of there and send Lee a text on the way (its a walk through like 2 buildings to get there) and told him all that went on. He was pretty excited too! But we were both like, this might be too good to be true, lol. I finally huff myself up the stairs to the maternity ward and give the lady there my card. She looks it up on her computer and says, yeah, its not pre-existing and you should be covered. THANK YOU JESUS! So that was another hurdle down. She told me to defenitely call my insurance though and find out for sure. After I got back to work I did just that and the rep told me that they don't cover pre-existing conditions until after a year of coverage, yes, but they don't consider pregnancy as pre-existing. ??? I wasn't going to question that!

We are SO thankful, God is so good, what a blessing! So we still have some co-pays ect but nothing like what it was going to be. Instead of 5k for the hospital and doctor together it will be just $500 for the doctor and $750 for the hospital. So around 1k. Hallelujah! I don't know for sure how much I owe the doctor still, since I have been paying on my bill already, but the hospital is $250 a day, and they figure on three days. I need to call my doctor and tell them I talked to my insurance and see if they have what I owe figured out yet.

Also in financial news, we were tossing about the idea of a shop etc like I said in my other post, since we had to have the $2500 up front for the hospital. But we had pretty much nixed the shop idea and were just going to get a small loan for the hospital. I felt like it was just going to be too much and not the right time. So anyway, we have been getting things in the mail about refinancing from our mortgage company for a few months now and Lee has been trying to get me to call, he figured a refinance with cash out would be our best bet all around. But I already tried that with two other mortgage companies and they all told me if you have had an over 30 days within a year they will not refinance you. But anyway as a last ditch effort to get Lee his shop I went a head and called them one day.

Lo and behold the man ran it through his computer and they did not immediately reject us! So, we are currently in the process of refinancing. We have everything going and are now waiting on our house appraisal which is happening Monday afternoon. If that goes well, we should be set! We are getting 10k out, lowering our payments, and lowering our interest rate. Cool, right?? So now that we learned we are paying only about a thousand for the doctor that will give us some extra money! Lee is figuring about 6-7k for the shop, maybe less. Then that will be 8k with the doctor. We have a mattress and dental bill I want paid off and then we are clear! So we may have around 2-3k to play with. Which I want to keep at least a thousand in the savings for an emergency fund. I would love to be able to get a four wheeler (or two) but we need to be smart. Will just have to wait and see.

Also may have another near 1k coming in from selling a motor Lee has had for a long time. We were going to put it in the Mustang eventually, but its gone now, so someone came in asking for one in the shop and dad told him about Lee's. He came out the same day and looked at it, likes it, but not sure if he wants to spend the money on it, so we shall see.

Anyway, we were going to camp in Tennessee this weekend with the fifth wheel. I reserved us a spot and everything at this gorgeous state park. I wanted to take my pregnancy pictures while I was there, the leaves are really pretty right now. It is by a river and has tons of waterfalls, etc. Perfect! But then we found out the appraiser is coming Monday and Lee has a lot of things he wants to do around the house to make sure we get the highest possible number. So I cancelled, maybe we can go next weekend. I'm not holding my breath though!

Tonight Lee and I are going to a banquet fundraiser for a womens shelter. They educate girls/women and try to keep them from having abortions, etc. My sister in law is over the one here in our town, so we are going to support her. It will be fun to dress up if nothing else, although my big belly is getting harder and harder to make cute, lol. Although it might be a fine line between dressy and too dressy, lol. And if I wear black, which I most likely will, I'll probably get a bunch of double takes, which is kind of annoying. Black is pretty good at camouflaging big bellys, but its hard to hide one this big and people will be like, is she pregnant?? Lol. I don't have a belly shot yet, but will try to add one later. Adios!

UPDATE: Here is a 34 week shot!

3D/4D Ultrasound!

The day is finally HERE!! Its about 40 mins until I need to leave work and I am so nervous/excited. Must calm down! Anytime I get worked up this kid starts going kung fu on me in there! She has hiccups again right now, lol. I swear she gets them 3-4 times a day! No less then twice.

So I am 31 weeks tomorrow! Thank GOD. In the single digits! Nine more weeks to go! I am so ready to be at the end! Although then we open up and whole 'nother can of worms dealing with a newborn. I really, really hope she is an easy baby. Olivia, the brothers kid, is high maintenance to the max, maybe worse then Chloe was (specially since Chloe had health issues and Olivia does not). It makes me nervous that my kid is going to come out the same way! With as busy as the shop is now at work, plus having Chloe with me one day here, I really need her to be pretty chill. PLEASEEE!

So our camping trip went well! Chloe had a blast. Lee and I had fun too, but it was definitely not my fav trip. It was HOT and BUGGY. Thankfully we did end up taking the fifth wheel so we ran fans all night and that made it tolerable. The best thing about it though was the toilet. ;) We went to Houston campground in the Bankhead national forest. Its very pretty and secluded/quiet there. There were like 2 other people there besides us and the in laws. They tent camped right below us across the little road. Here are some pics!
Our lovely '70s fifth wheel

You can see the "ugh, its hot" all over this photo, haha

Smiley head

She loves to play in any sort of water!

Just had a rain storm come through and cooled us off, loved it!

So anyway! We stayed two nights, the first night we had two fans, one on Chloe down on the couch bed, and one on us. I got HOT, and did not sleep well. The next night the in laws told us they didnt need the fan they bought in the tents so we got to have an extra one on us and that helped. Also the second morning a storm came through so it was pretty cool even though we had to shut the windows. Chloe did really well! Slept great on her little bed that pulled out (I put pillows on the other edge to keep her from falling off) and even when the storm came through I just sang to her a bit and turned her pillow pet on and she went back to sleep! Such a good girl. Here she is being goofy on our bed up top. Notice the lovely mismatched pjs, lol, the shirt that goes with those pants is long sleeve so I swapped it for a short sleeve.

So we went swimming in the lake one day which was a lot of fun and hiked a bit one day, but that was about it. My prego self wasnt up to much more. Plus the bug bites/poison oak I had were pretty miserable, especially trying to sleep at night! I was pretty proud of myself though, only having to pee once in the early mornings. At home I go at least 3-4 times!

Well time to get little girl up from her nap and head to the hospital!!

Week 26 - Still No Name!

Hello all! Yeah, its been a freaking long time. What is wrong with me?? Well lets see if I can catch myself up. (because I know the only person to read this is going to be my future self, lol)

So we have made it over halfway! I'm now, dare I say, getting close to 30 weeks?? 26 is closer to 30 then 20, right? ;) So yeah pregnancy is still not that fun. I am pretty much done with it. Done with being big, swollen, feeling full after five bites, peeing all the time, a violent child kicking me ALL DAY off and on. This has been so different then Chloe. Oh lets add back aches and heartburn, forgot those. And basically feeling like a 70 year old woman moving around.

So on the good news front. No more bleeding still. Baby is growing well. My health is good. I am bigger with this one at this point, but not a whole lot. Maybe 5lbs? I'll know for sure tomorrow at my next appointment. This will be my glucose screening appt, yeah. I'm sure I will fail, almost everyone does until they do the blood test and are like, o your fine. Really? Can we not get a better system for this?? Oh, here is the belly this morning:

I just went back to find a 26 week post to compare from the last pregnancy and found THIS! I am 28 weeks here and SO MUCH SMALLER! GAH!

Holy moly. I'm mean I knew I was bigger then before but GOOD GRIEF! What is going on! And I know its not just the "you get bigger with your second baby" crap. Jamie was smaller with her second pregnancy! Granted her first was a boy and this was a girl. But seriously if girls are supposed to be smaller what happened to this heifer child?? Sigh. I'm going to be a BARGE by the time I pop this kid out! :(

So anyway, I was supposed to be talking about good things. We sold the mustang a while back! Got a lot more out of it then we put in it, which was awesome. We paid off our car loans and got some money back too. It has been SO nice not having to worry about how I'm going to pay the bills. Although I worry about what is going to happen later. Lee and I nixed the fifth wheel plan and have moved on to the 'build a shop' plan.

Yeah so he says he can build a shop for around 5k. Which is something he has always wanted, and really will boost the house/property value. Plus I am loving the idea of a garage to park in. No more frozen/snowy windows and running and jumping in the car when its raining. The first perk will be REALLY nice this winter with an infant.

So we have to get a loan for $2500 anyway to pay the stingy hospital (who says I have to have them paid by the time I deliver, the dr office is letting me pay by month) and then add the other on top. We should be able to stay at 200 a month for 4 years. So that is probably what we are going to do. We are holding off as long as we can though to catch up on stuff and put off that payment.

Got Chloe's room painted! We went ahead an did purple, I just couldn't go with my plan, she LOVES purple. It actually looks pretty decent. I'd still like to get her a purple bedspread and a few things to put on the wall. But her furniture fills it up so good it looks fine for now. Oh yeah, I found her a whole REALLY nice set of furniture for $200 the other day. The grandparents bought it for her birthday, thank God. That was a big worry taken care off! It looks great too. It has a nice sleigh bed, night table, entertainment center, and a dresser with mirror. It all fit too! I'll have to take a picture of it.

So now we just have to do the babies room. Decided on one light pink wall and the others grey. Gotta find some pink and grey bedding. I'm hoping to get it and a stroller for my baby shower. I got all the clothes organized the other day, just need to wash them now. I figured I'd be getting a lot more before she gets here so holding off on washing till I have most of them. Oh and the fact that my washer is KAPUT doesn't help either. Thank God for the mother in law! She always did the laundry on the days she watched Chloe anyway, so she just takes them to her house and does them. I really should buy her some detergent. I doubt she would take it though, thats just the kind of person she is.

Oh! We are going camping this weekend for Labor Day! So excited. Although I'm afraid we are tent camping which makes me a little less so, but it should still be fun. The places we usually go with a camper are all booked already, boo. I'm still going to look around a bit today though. Chloe is going to be so excited, she loves camping.

So yeah, I have a three year old now! She had a blast at her party. It wasn't anything big, just family and such. We did it in the back yard which turned out really nice. She is such a sweet baby, love her so much. Her spirit is so sweet and willing (most times) I feel so blessed to be her mama. I hope this next one is similar! (by the way it behaves right now I'm pretty worried!!) She had her 3 year old check up the other day. 27lbs and 36 inches. Very low percentile still, lol, but thats fine.

Baby Olivia made her entrance!! She was born the first of this month, little bitty thing at just over 6lbs. Jamie was about a week early. She is such a sleepy thing! She is almost a month old (Thurs) and I have seen her awake maybe 3 times, lol. She eats like a little pigger though! Sounds like her daddy! Here she is visiting me one day:

Oh! To get to the title of the post. Yeah, this kid still dosen't have a name. We have sort of settled on Shelby, but it still doesn't thrill me. So we got Shelby from the Shelby Mustangs, lol. Since we had to sell the mustang for her, haha. So far its the only one both Lee and I like. I will probably tack one of my other favorite names on it for her middle and make her Shelby Noelle Mickle. I still really like Kennedy, or Kennadie. But she will have to spell her name her whole life with that one. But then she won't be as likely to be associated with our 35th president. I wish I could just LOVE Shelby and be done with it! I'm kind of holding out for the 4D ultrasound, hoping when I see her face it will trigger something. That should be in about 3 weeks! So excited!! I'll find out more about that tomorrow I bet.

Soo, I think thats about it. Will try to blog about how the appointment goes tomorrow. After this one I start going every two weeks! EEP!

Ultrasound

So yeah, its taken me a week to blog about the results. I'm not sure whether I would say I was more dissapointed with the results or just SHOCKED!

I guess you probably figured out that I was COMPLETELY wrong about the gender. DEF not a boy, lol. Another baby girl! Which is what I kind of wanted to begin with! But then I convinced myself it was a boy and that I wanted a boy, so therefore it has taken me a week to readjust. I really am not sure that I am fully adjusted even now about it. I keep getting confused on whether I'm having a boy or girl when I am looking at clothes or something, lol. It's getting better, though. I'm not going to lie, I was dissapointed. I really did want to have a boy, since I have a girl. And I wanted Lee to have a little buddy, you know? I feel like Chloe is more 'mine' since she is a girl and we relate so well. Oh well, the 3rd baby is always an option. Although I will not be able to work anymore, and that is definitely not an option anytime soon. Maybe in a few years, we will see.

So, the big question now is WHAT DO WE NAME HER?!? We are all set and settled on Gage, just trying to come up with a middle name. We even kind of picked that the other day, Gage Irvin Mickle, after his paw paw's name. But now we have had to start all over. Like I said before, the husband does not like any of my girl names. I have thrown out another half a dozen at least and he doesn't like any of those either! Here are my front runners at the moment:

- Kennedy (Kennadie?)
- Felicity
- Noelle
- Krysta
- Lena
- Brynne

So of all of them I really like Kennedy, so does everyone else I list all the names to. But is it the one? I dunno. I'm about to get burnt out looking for names!

So I now also have to get rid of like 4 things I bought that are boy things. Huge bag of clothes, another lot of sleepers, a bedding set, and I may get rid of a winter car seat cover that is brown. Boo! I have bought one set of sleepers for a girl and a cute diaper bag. Also a super cute neck/head rest for an infant. Still need more clothes and to decide if I am going to keep her in Chloe s' bedding or get her another one. I am definitely not buying/asking for a new set, but if I come across a cute one on the online yard sale site I will probably buy it, if its the right price. (the boy set I bought was $20 and it was SO cute and SUCH good quality, ugh!)

Also got to figure out what color I want to paint her room. Don't want to keep the green. I know exactly what I want in Chloe's room but I can't do anything until I get the flipping bedroom set out of there I'm trying to sell. There is a lady from church says she wants it but she keeps dragging her feet -_-.

Anyway its going to be a kind of teal/blue on the walls and then purple and teal bedding. I'm going to get her this daybed:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Dorel-Asia-Twin-Full-Daybed-White/23316637

As for the baby room I'm going between a purple or grey. Not positive on anything yet, really. Also have to come up with a small dresser for Chloe's room. Ugh, so much money going out! On that front thankfully I got a nice chunk of change from my dad for finishing a insurance list for him. Although the entire $500 went to bills except for $100 I used to get my contact prescription redone. $100 to Chloes insurance, $100 towards a dentist bill, $100 for a bill we were behind on, $100 for car tags. UGH.

We also went ahead and decided to sell our '71 Mustang. We were both pretty heartbroken about it, but I think we are getting over it. We are going to hopefully get 12k out of it at least so we can pay off our car loan and free up about $400 a month. We are then going to get another small personal loan for the dr/hospital bills. Lee also wants to put another 3-4k on that to buy a travel trailer but then I'm like, ok, we are back in the same spot we were before with a $300 payment! We shall see. The mustang has been up for 2 weeks now with no bites, so boo. Might have to get the father to buy it if it doesn't sell within the month so we can get the money we need now and then he can get the money from the sale. I'm so thankful my parents are well off enough to help us out if we need it!!

So Sunday afternoon I had a rare day off from church. Usually I'm there from 8-12 and then back again at 2:30 for practice and sometimes have to stay all the way till after 4th service which ends around 6:15 or so. UGH. But we had no practice and I didn't have to play violin 4th so we got the mustang out after Chloe's nap and cleaned it all up and went to the park! There is a cute, really quiet park in a town near us that has swings and some toys, a slide, etc. But its also got a little water feature and is next to a really pretty creek. Unfortunately the water feature is only on till 4 in the afternoon so after Chloe played at the playground a bit we walked down to the creek and splashed around in there for a while. It was COLD! But after you had the initial shock wear off it was comfortable. Chloe had so much fun! We had to hold her hands the whole time because it was a little slick! Here are a few pics from that day:

Headed to the park with the top down!

Splashing in the creek!

Love it!

Looking cool cruisin' through town for no particular reason

Usins' :)
Speaking of the 'stang I got to drive it yesterday all by myself to work! Then us girls took it to a town about 30 mins up the interstate to eat at Olive Garden for a girls night. It was so fun! I only stalled it once, haha. I still need lots of practice driving a stick!

So not much else going on right now. My sister in law is about to pop! She has about 4 weeks left, I bet she goes early though! She is having a little girl, Olivia. I'll try to take pics of my 19 week belly and post them later. Tata!

2 More Weeks! (And A Scare)

Until :drum roll pleaseeee: THE ULTRASOUND! Seems like it has been forever! Although we did kind of cheat and get to see the baby yesterday. Yeah, definitely not planned! Let me explain.

So Sunday night we got in kind of late from being at the in laws. They are redoing their bathroom and of course the husband has to do much of the work on it. Well I went to the bathroom just to pee but then thought well apparently I need to do the other as well. So I did my business and while I was I felt kind of a few sharp pains and a lot of pressure but nothing totally awful, you know? So I stand up and by now Chloe is in there with me (of course, a mama can never go to the bathroom alone!) and she goes, oh, red! And I look down and see a toilet with yes, RED in it! I then wiped and wiped bright blood twice. I was shocked and just clueless. My mind was trying to compute and I start thinking, I'm not due for my period, trying to rationalize! I wiped in the back to make sure it wasn't coming from there, and it wasn't. Then I called Lee in there and tell him what is going on and he's like why are you bleeding, and I said I don't know!

So I hurry to my phone and call the hospital and tell them I need to talk to the on call OB. She asks my name and what is going on and then quickly got me in touch with the doctor thank goodness. So I tell him what is going on and he asks me if we have had sex, no, how much blood, am I hurting, etc. Essentially he told me I need to be checked out. I could come to the ER or wait and go in the morning to my doctor. I decided to wait and go in the morning. ER bills are outrageous and of course I have no insurance. He told me if I started hurting worse or bleeding more to def go to the ER though.

THANK GOD I never did bleed anymore after that initial spout. I was crampy/uncomfortable though the rest of the night and next day. Today I feel better thank goodness.

So I get off the phone and am just shaking I'm about to flip out and trying really hard not to think of all the things that could be wrong. I kept holding on to the fact I felt the baby move that morning and that I wasn't bleeding anymore so I was probably fine. Lee was so sweet taking care of Chloe and taking care of me, etc. I was doing ok in the crying department until I had to call my dad to tell him I'd be late that next day at work, then I lost it. My mom talked to me for a bit and that helped some, and I finally calmed down and got in bed. Lee and I watched cooking shows till 12 o'clock lol, I knew I would need to be really sleepy before I could try and nod off.

So the ER doc told me to just show up at my drs office at opening the next day and they would be more likely to get me in. So Lee took off that morning thank God and we got there about ten after they opened at 8:30. And ended up not getting out of there till 11! UGH, mainly it was because my doctor had a dentist appt that morning and it took him forever to get in the office -_-. But I love him and his nurses and they were so sweet with me. I did my normal weigh and pee in a cup thing (128lbs now) and then he came in and asked what was going on etc. Then he told me to get undressed so he could examine me. He said he could tell I had bled a little bit but everything looked good down there, cervix was closed, etc. He said I was measuring good and all. Before all that he listened for the heartbeat. It took him longer then I wanted (which was in reality just seconds) but he found it! Good strong 140 like normal. I was so relieved! The nurse came to my head and said you going cry happy tears now? And I just about lost it!! Thanks! I didn't need help! Lol. So after that he told me to get dressed and we would do an ultrasound to make sure all looked well in there.

He did it himself since the techs were busy. That was really nice of him. He slathered my belly up and here we go! It was SO different then last time! You could see every limb and his hands, toes, etc. Was so neat! He got a really good shot of his heart beating. And then the little guy/gal started bouncing around and moving his hands up by his face, it was so sweet!! He told us he thinks he saw a scrotum but he reserves the right to be wrong, lol! But I'm going with it, I knew it was a boy all along! Anyway, he said he could see where I bled a little, but it looked fine. And that my placenta wasn't abnormally low (we were afraid of that). So basically everything looked fine and really not sure why I had bled! Relief, but kind of frustrating! I'm going with the theory of just busting something sensitive when I pooped, lol.

So I still go back in 2 weeks for my ultrasound and blood test. Thank goodness! I still need confirmation from that one before I go buying boy clothes! (doesn't mean I haven't started looking seriously at boy bedding and nursery's online, though! ;) )

We have kind of settled on a name for him, Gage. (I think Lee just likes it because it sounds like gauge, as in guns, lol) Maybe Gage Anthony Mickle? But Anthony seems overdone...and yes its his daddies middle name but also my sis in laws boys middle name.

As for girl names I like these, although Lee has not signed off on ANY of them o_-

Brynn (Brynne)
Harper
Autumn
Summer
Lena
Caylee

So um, yeah, girl names are way easier for me then boy. I kind of like Colin and Cole also for boy names, but I didn't really want to go matchy matchy you know, Chloe and another C name. Kinda cheesy.

So anyway! The cool thing is my ultrasound is on July 3rd, so I can make my big announcement at the 4th of July shindig we do every year at my aunt and uncles. The uncool thing is my own parents won't be there! They are taking a four day weekend, boo! So I guess they get to hear over the phone :(.

Well I am at week 16! Definitely got a pooch now that seems huge to me, but just barely noticeable to everyone else. Although Lee has taking to rubbing it as he passes by me at times, its sweet. I started definitely feeling the baby move Fathers Day, and today he has been very active! The last 10 minutes he has been going at it in there, lol. Thump after thump.

Here is a few weeks ago at week 14 (second trimester began!)

And today, my 16 week picture,

So I have been feeling okay. I have to sit careful almost every time though, if I don't its very uncomfortable. Feels like I'm pushing my uterus up or something, its weird. I don't remember this with Chloe. I am also easily fatigued, breathe hard about just lifting Chloe into the car seat, lol. Which I am much less active with this kid. I just don't feel like getting up and walking every morning, or after work, like I did with Chlo. I get up, go to work, come home, sit on the couch until I have to make dinner. And thats about it! SOMETIMES I can make myself get up and go swimming with Chloe or something. She loves the pool!

Fathers Day was really fun. (Well, aside from that night!!) We grilled chicken and corn, swam, just had fun. Chloe and I got Lee a bunch of neat grilling things. I did have to go back to church to play violin at the 5 o'clock service, but it didn't take too long. We haven't seen Lee much at all lately. The last two weeks he has either been working late or over at his parents with that stinking bathroom. Which thank God is about done.

Well guess that is about it for now!

Appointment #2

Just got back in from the doctor appointment! I feel like I was there a long time, but really was in and out within an hour, which is really good for a ob appointment! I did have to wait on the dr in the room for like 30 minutes, I guess what was what felt so draggy. Next time I'm sitting in the soft chair and not on the stupid table!

So! He came in and said all was great with my blood work. Negative for all the bad stuff, told me I was immune to rubella, thats good! (He said I was either vaccinated or had the german measles, which I'm pretty sure I didn't). Also said my blood type is O positive. Also said my blood level was really good as well as everything else. Yeah, I was anemic last time. I started taking that new prenatal with iron, and even though I'm good now I'm gonna keep taking it. I gained one pound he said, which was weird. I measured 130 my first appointment, which was huge for me. Then today I measured 128, whew. I guess he is going off my pre-pregnancy weight of 127 or so. Either way, I'm so glad I am not over 130!

He measured my belly and said I'm measuring around 9 or 10 weeks, which Jamie has been measuring a week or so off the whole time, lol. She is 28 weeks now! Her baby shower is in just a few weeks, I'm so excited. I made a neat glitter letter thing with Olivia's name last night for it. Also got supplies to make part of her present. Its a ribbon/headband holder in the colors of her room. She is gonna love it! Its still like three weeks away, but I am feelin crafty lately, lol. I also bought her a purple bumbo, hehe. She will be pretty excited.

Anyway, sorry, got off track. He then said "usually we can hear the baby at 12 weeks, but your so skinny you wanna give it a try??" I was like, of course! Haha, so he slimed me up and looked around for it. Didn't take him long to find it, just hard to keep a hold of it. Guess the baby was being wiggly! I love getting to hear it, about teared up! She/he sounded like a washing machine, haha. He said the heart rate was in the 150's. So according to the old wives tale, its a boy! It was around there at the ultrasound as well. We shall seeee... I need to find my doppler!!!!

So I then asked him about Chloe's hemangioma, if he thought it was more likely for my next to have one too. He hem hawed around a minute and then said it is a possibility because its hereditary. I told him I was afraid it would be on his/her face. (The face ones are usually by the eye or mouth, both really bad places for obvious reasons!) He said it would likely be in the same spot if the baby did have one, as my previous child. So thats a bit of a relief. I need to do some research.

Well thats about it!
